Creating and Editing Collections in GemIQ
Learn how to create, manage, and share Collections in GemIQ — hand-pick products manually or build automatic collections that update based on product attributes, then reorder and share them with clients.
Collections in GemIQ let you group and showcase your jewelry products in curated sets. Create a manual collection to hand-pick each product, or an automatic collection that updates itself based on product attributes. Once created, you can customize the page with your branding, share it with clients, post it to social media, and even sync it directly to Shopify.
A Collection is a curated catalog of jewelry that you can create and send to your customers. It functions as a shareable product page with your own branding, contact details, and filtering options. Collections can be created on both the desktop and mobile app, and shared from either.
You can also use Collections to sync specific products to Shopify. By organizing items into a Collection and then syncing by Collection on the Shopify integration page, you have more control over exactly what gets pushed to your store.
To create a new Collection, go to the Collections section and click the option to create a new one. Choose between a manual collection (hand-pick each product) or an automatic collection (populates based on product attributes like stone type, metal, or category).
Once created, you can add products, reorder them, and begin customizing your page.
The Collections page has been updated with a full set of customization options. Click Customize Page in the top right corner of the Share Collection view to access the following settings.

Business name

Category Cards Category cards appear at the top of the collection page when your shared products span more than one jewelry type. You can toggle this on or off.
Filters You can toggle individual filter types on or off to control what your customers see when browsing the collection. Available filters include:
General: Product Type, Price
Tags and Attributes: Brand, Style, Demographic
Main Stone Types
Jewelry Details: Base Material, Metal Finish, Gold Color, Gold Karat, Total Weight
After setting up and sharing your collection, customers will see a fully branded, filterable jewelry catalog with your logo, contact details, and social links. They can browse, filter, and inquire directly from the page. You can update the collection at any time and the shared link will always reflect the latest version.
Can I create and share a collection from my phone? Yes. Collections can be created on both the desktop and mobile app. Sharing options including copying the link, posting to social media, and sending via WhatsApp, SMS, or email are available from both.
Can I use a collection to sync products to Shopify? Yes. On the Shopify integration page, you can choose to sync by Collection rather than syncing your entire catalog. This gives you precise control over which products are pushed to your Shopify store.
Do category cards always show up? Category cards only appear when the shared products in your collection span more than one jewelry type. If all products are the same type, the category cards section will not display even if it is toggled on.
