GemIQ app Camera Settings and Device Selection

The GemIQ app gives you precise control over your capture setup. Tap the Adjust button in camera mode to access brightness, color, white balance, aspect ratio, and more. GemAI features automate background removal, retouching, and product descriptions. Switch between connected GemLightbox devices using the device button on the capture screen.
Camera Mode Adjustments
Tap the Adjust button in camera mode to open the settings panel.
Eclipse Mode
Captures images and videos against a black background. Use this mode to create a dramatic, high-contrast presentation that draws focus to the jewelry piece.
Brightness Adjustment
Controls overall image brightness. Move the slider right to brighten the image or left to darken it.
Tone Adjustment
Adjusts the warmth of your image. Move the slider to make the piece appear warmer or cooler.
Temperature Adjustment
Adjusts the color temperature of your image. Increasing the temperature adds a warm, yellowish tone; decreasing it adds a cooler, bluish tone.
Tint Adjustment
Shifts the color hue toward green or magenta. Use this to remove unwanted color casts and achieve accurate color representation across metals, gems, and fine details.
Auto White Balance
Automatically corrects color balance so your jewelry appears true to its actual color, regardless of the light source. When Auto White Balance is on, the Temperature and Tint sliders are locked. Turn it off to adjust them manually.
Aspect Ratio
Sets the aspect ratio before you begin shooting so your images and videos are captured in the right format for your intended use — website listings, social media, or catalog exports.

Turntable Controls
When using a GemLightbox turntable for video recording, use Turntable mode to control rotation settings.
Setting What It Does Video Mode Captures your jewelry from multiple angles for a complete, dynamic presentation. Video Speed Controls the turntable rotation speed during recording. Adjust to find the pace that best showcases your piece.
GemAI Features
GemAI automates time-consuming photography tasks so you can capture, enhance, and publish faster.
Feature What It Does Auto Photography Automatically captures still images while a video is recording — up to 4 images and 1 video in a single session. Product Description Generates a product description for the piece you are shooting in approximately 15 seconds. Model Shots Places your jewelry piece onto a model template so customers can visualize how it looks when worn. Remove Background Automatically removes the background and replaces it with a clean, white background for a consistent, professional catalog. Retouching Automatically adjusts lighting, sharpness, and other visual qualities to enhance your jewelry images before saving.
Device Selection
Switch between connected GemLightbox devices without leaving the capture screen.
Tap the device button in the bottom-right corner of the capture screen, then select the device you want to use.
