The GemIQ provides a complete control panel for your GemCam Pro. It allows you to adjust camera, lighting, and turntable settings to capture jewelry photos and videos directly from your computer.
Set Up and Connect Your GemCam Pro

Ensure your GemCam Pro is connected to your computer.
The GemCam Pro is powered directly through your computer, so no separate power source is required.
Open the GemIQ Desktop App and click Capture.
GemIQ will establish the connection with the GemCam Pro and power on the camera automatically.
Once connected, the live preview will appear and the GemCam Pro will be ready for you to start capturing images and videos in GemIQ.
Camera and Turntable Controls
The main control panel lets you manage the core functions of your camera and turntable.
Device Connection
Your GemLightbox connects to the computer through Bluetooth.

To establish the connection, ensure that:
Your computer has Bluetooth enabled.
The GemLightbox is powered on.
The black switch at the back of the GemLightbox is set to App Mode.
Connect Your GemLightbox

Go to the Device section and click Connect Device.
Your GemLightbox will appear in the device list. Click Connect next to your GemLightbox to establish the connection.

Once the connection is established, your GemLightbox serial number will appear on the main control panel. The directional controls for the turntable will also appear at the bottom of the control panel, allowing you to control the turntable directly from the GemIQ app.
Select Mode and Turntable Settings
Use the Select Mode section to choose between Photo and Video capture.

When using the turntable on video mode, expand Turntable Settings to customize how the turntable operates during capture.
Rotation: Select how far the turntable rotates during the capture — 360°, 90°, 45°, or 15°.
Speed: Choose between Fast or Slow turntable rotation.
Multi-angle capture: Turn this on to automatically capture multiple photos of your jewelry from different angles.
Number of photos: Select how many images you would like to capture during the rotation. The angle shown indicates the interval between each photo.
For example, selecting 4 photos (90°) will capture four images, with the turntable rotating 90° between each photo.
GemCam Light Controls
Use GemCam Light Controls to adjust the auto focus and lighting on your GemCam Pro.

Use Auto Focus to allow the GemCam Pro to automatically focus on the jewelry piece during capture.
Keep Auto Focus turned on for most shooting situations.
The GemCam Pro will automatically adjust the focus to help keep the jewelry clear and sharp.
Turn Auto Focus off if you need to manually control the focus for a specific area or detail of the jewelry.
GemCam Pro Light Controls
Light Intensity: Increase or decrease the brightness of the GemCam Pro lights.
Light Color: Choose between Yellow, White, or Cool White lighting depending on the jewelry or gemstone you are capturing.
Light Effect: Select Flash, Steady, or Wave to change how the GemCam Pro lights behave during capture.
Light Effect From GemCam Pro
Choose the light color that best suits your jewelry metal and gemstones.

Yellow Light: A warm glow that enhances gold jewelry.

Scene Preset
Use Scene Preset to select the shooting environment that best matches your setup.

Available presets include:
White Background: Optimized for capturing jewelry against the standard white background.
Eclipse: Optimized for shooting with the Eclipse black background.
Neutral: Provides a neutral starting point for making your own adjustments.
You can further adjust the selected preset using the image controls below.
Image Adjustments
Fine-tune how your jewelry appears in the live capture screen using:

Brightness: Adjusts the overall brightness of the image.
Tone: Adjusts the overall tonal appearance of the image.
Saturation: Controls the intensity of the colors.
Sharpness: Adjusts the level of detail and definition.
Contrast: Adjusts the difference between the lighter and darker areas of the image.
Reset: Returns the adjustments to the default settings for the selected preset.
Custom Presets
Once you have adjusted the settings to suit a particular type of jewelry, click Save as Custom Preset to save the combination for future use.

For example, you may create a custom preset for Rubies with White and Yellow Gold so you can quickly apply the same settings when photographing similar pieces again.

Your saved custom presets will appear together with the standard Scene Presets and can be selected whenever needed.
