What Happens to My Files If My GemIQ Subscription Expires?
Quick Answer
If your paid GemIQ subscription expires, your existing files and videos are not deleted. You can still access them, but your account will revert to the free plan's 3GB storage limit. You will not be able to sync new files if your total storage exceeds this limit.
Understanding Your Account After Expiration
When a paid GemIQ subscription is not renewed, your account transitions to our free plan. Here is what changes and what stays the same:
Access to Existing Files
All photos, videos, and files you synced while your subscription was active remain securely stored in your GemIQ account. You will not lose access to this existing content.
Syncing New Files
Your account's cloud storage capacity will be limited to 3GB. You can continue to capture and sync new files from your devices until your total used storage reaches this 3GB limit.
Once you reach the 3GB limit, syncing will stop for any new captures. The GemHub will notify you that your cloud storage is full.
How to Resume Full Syncing
To continue syncing new files beyond the free 3GB limit, you have two options:
Renew Your Subscription: Upgrading to a paid plan restores your full storage allowance and all premium features, allowing you to sync new files immediately.
Free Up Space: You can delete older or unneeded files from your GemIQ cloud storage to bring your total usage below the 3GB limit.
