A blue tint in the live preview is typically caused by the camera calibration rather than the GemLightbox itself.

Follow the steps below to recalibrate the camera.

Remove the Jewelry from the Camera View

Either:

  • Remove the jewelry from the GemLightbox, or

  • Point the camera somewhere that does not include the jewelry.

This allows the app to calibrate without being influenced by the colors of the item.

Tap Auto Adjust

In the GemIQ Mobile App, tap Auto Adjust.

The app will begin recalibrating the live preview.

Increase the Brightness

Adjust the brightness until the live preview background appears white, rather than blue or grey.

The goal is to achieve a clean white preview before photographing your jewelry.

Return the Jewelry to the Frame

Place your jewelry back into the GemLightbox or point the camera back at the item.

The background should remain white after calibration.

Fine-Tune the Brightness

If needed, make small brightness adjustments until the jewelry and background appear natural.

Avoid over-adjusting the brightness, as this may affect the appearance of the jewelry.
