If the GemIQ mobile app only shows Eclipse and Neutral mode, it usually means:

There is no GemLightbox device currently connected, or
You have a GemSparkle mode triggered, or
You have a GemLoupe mode triggered connected.

For GemSparkle and GemLoupe users, seeing only these two modes is normal.

What Do Eclipse and Neutral Mode Mean?#

Neutral Mode#

Use Neutral Mode for standard jewellery photography without an Eclipse setup.

Eclipse Mode#

Use Eclipse Mode when photographing jewellery with an Eclipse or black-background setup.

Common Questions#

Q: Is something wrong if I only see Eclipse and Neutral mode?
A: Not necessarily. This is normal if you are using a GemSparkle or GemLoupe, or if no GemLightbox device is currently connected.

Q: Why can’t I see my GemLightbox controls?
A: The app may not currently be connected to your GemLightbox. Check the device connection and try again.
