Setting Up Your GemLightbox Pro

Quick Answer

Download the GemHub, power on your GemLightbox Pro, attach the adjustable side lights to the magnetic strips, connect your smartphone via Bluetooth, position your phone on the front stand or top mount, then place your jewelry inside and start shooting.

Before You Start

Download the GemHub on your smartphone before beginning setup:
iPhone: Download on the App Store
Android: Download on Google Play
Confirm all accessories are removed from the box and ready to use.
Have a power outlet nearby.

Plugging In and Powering On the GemLightbox Pro

Attach the adjustable side lights to the magnetic strips on each side of the unit. These lights add extra sparkle and detail to your jewelry shots.

Open the GemHub, tap Camera, and connect your smartphone to the GemLightbox Pro via Bluetooth.

Position your smartphone using one of two methods:

Front stand: Place your phone on the front stand for straight-on shots.
Smartphone on the GemLightbox Pro Front Stand
Top mount: Open the top lid and place your phone on top of the unit for flat-lay or overhead shots.

Place your jewelry inside the GemLightbox Pro and you are ready to capture.

Expected Result

Your GemLightbox Pro is powered on with the side lights attached, your phone is connected via Bluetooth in the GemHub, and your jewelry is positioned inside the unit. You can now capture professional-quality jewelry photos and videos.

If This Does Not Work

GemLightbox Pro will not turn on: Check that the power cable is fully connected at both ends.
Bluetooth connection fails: Enable Bluetooth on your phone, close and reopen the GemHub, then try pairing again.
Side lights will not attach: Align the lights with the magnetic strips on the sides of the unit — they snap into place when correctly positioned.
Camera does not load in the app: Check that the GemHub has camera and Bluetooth permissions enabled in your phone's settings.

Common Mistakes

Not downloading the GemHub before starting — the app must be installed and open before you can connect.
Forgetting to open the top lid when placing the phone in the top-mount position for overhead shots.
Not enabling Bluetooth on the phone before attempting to pair with the GemLightbox Pro.
