Before You Start

Make sure all of the following are in order:

  • GemLightbox Max is powered on

  • GemIQ app is installed and up to date

  • Bluetooth is enabled on your phone or computer

  • Your jewelry piece is placed on the turntable

Step 1: Check for a Hardware Issue

At the back of the GemLightbox Max, you'll find a switch with three settings: Slow, App, and Fast. Turn the switch to Slow or Fast to manually activate the turntable.

  • If the jewelry completes a full turn — no hardware issue. Move to Step 2.

  • If the turntable doesn't move — record a short video of the issue and contact the support team at support@gemiq.com with the footage attached.

Step 2: Switch to App Mode

Set the switch at the back of the GemLightbox Max to App (center position), then connect via the GemIQ app.

Desktop:

  1. Plug in your GemCam Pro and open the GemIQ app

  2. Click Capture, then click on the device listed on the right

  3. In the popup, click Connect
