To ensure optimal performance, your computer should meet the requirements listed below. These apply to both the current GemCam Pro and the legacy GemCam model unless specified otherwise.

macOS Requirements

On Mac, GemCam connects through the GemHub desktop app.

  • Operating System: macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later

  • Internet Connection: 25 Mbps upload and download (recommended)

For the best performance with GemCam Pro, an Apple M2 chip or newer is recommended. If you use an Apple M1 chip and experience latency, try switching the image resolution to 1200 × 1200 in the app settings.

Windows Requirements

On Windows, GemCam connects through the GemHub Web App using a compatible browser.

  • Browser: Chrome 109+ or Edge 116+

Recommended

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or later
