This article answers the most common questions about the GemIQ retouching service, including what is included, how image credits are counted, and what to do if you need to change or cancel an order.
Free Trial
GemIQ offers one free retouching trial per customer. Upload your image at retouch.picupmedia.com, add any special instructions, and your retouched image will be returned within 24 hours.
Video Retouching
Video retouching is not currently available. The service applies to still images only.
Model Images
Retouching for model images — jewelry worn by a person — is handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact the retouching team at retouching@picupmedia.com for a free review and quotation.
Image Stacking
Image stacking is available. The stacked output is delivered as a JPG file. Each stacking job counts as two images — one for the original and one for the stacked output.
Changing the Angle of a Piece
Changing the angle of a piece in post-production (for example, converting a front view to a side view) is not possible. If you need a different angle, reshoot the piece at the desired angle and resubmit it for retouching.
Asymmetric Earrings
An asymmetric earring pair designed to be worn together is counted as one product and billed as one image.
Hallmarking
Hallmarking is an optional add-on within the retouching service. You supply your logo, and the retouching team incorporates it into all your jewelry images. Contact retouching@picupmedia.com to request this service.
