GemSparkle is designed to sit directly over your smartphone's camera lens. If it is not positioned correctly, part of the clip may appear in the camera preview or captured image.
Check the Preview
Before taking a photo, always look at the live camera preview.
If you notice any part of the GemSparkle clip, dark corners, or an obstruction in the preview, reposition the clip before capturing your image.
Align GemSparkle With the Active Camera Lens
Many smartphones have multiple rear camera lenses. As such, your phone may switch between different physical lenses.
Make sure the GemSparkle lens is positioned directly over the camera lens currently being used.
If you're unsure which lens is active:
Open your phone's camera app.
Select the camera mode you want to use.
Gently cover each rear camera lens one at a time.
The lens that blocks the camera preview is the active camera.
Position GemSparkle directly over that lens.
Reposition the Clip
If the clip is visible in the preview:
Slide the clip slightly until the obstruction disappears.
Ensure the GemSparkle lens is centered over the active camera lens.
Confirm the camera preview is clear before taking your photo.
If you're using a thick phone case, removing it may also help improve the fit and alignment.
