Step 01 · Unbox

Check what's in the box

Tap each item below as you find it. The Elite Kit Max ships in two cartons — open both before you start.

2

Step 02 · Install the GemIQ app

Download the GemIQ app

Install the GemIQ app before powering on — your hardware will appear there as soon as it connects. One install, both devices.

  1. 1Pick the version for your device below and install.
  2. 2Sign in with your GemIQ account (or create one — takes 30 seconds).
3

Step 03 · Power up

Power up & connect

Plug in both devices and confirm they appear in the GemIQ app. The Max connects over Bluetooth; GemCam Pro is wired USB-C for studio reliability.

  1. 1GemLightbox Max: plug in USB-C, press the power button on top.
  2. 2GemCam Pro: connect USB-C to your desktop or laptop — the GemIQ app auto-launches.
  3. 3Confirm both devices appear in the app's device list.
  4. 4Run a 10-second test capture from each — you'll know they're ready.

Pro tip: With both online you can switch between phone capture (Max) and desktop capture (GemCam Pro) per piece — no need to disconnect.

Step 04 · Sparkle Lights

Add the magnetic Sparkle Lights

The Sparkle Lights snap onto GemLightbox Max in seconds. Use them to add motion-driven brilliance — ideal for diamonds, gemstones, and any piece you'd shoot as video.

  1. 1Position the Sparkle Light bars onto the magnetic mount points inside the Max.
  2. 2They lock with a soft click when seated correctly.
  3. 3In the GemIQ app, switch to Video mode and enable Sparkle.

Step 05 · Capture

Take your first shot

Place a piece on the Max turntable, hit the shutter in the GemIQ app, and the kit handles the rest — lighting, focus, exposure.
