Learning CenterLearn how to set up your Aerial turntable to capture smooth, 360-degree photos and videos of your jewelry. Setup takes less than five minutes.
Step 01 · Prepare
Unpack your GemLightbox Aerial and ensure your GemLightbox is powered on and ready. You will also need your smartphone with the GemIQ app installed.
Step 02 · Position
Place your jewelry piece on top of the GemLightbox. Center it carefully on the shooting surface to ensure it remains stable during rotation.
Step 03 · Attach
Attach the Aerial turntable to the underside of the jewelry piece. Align it carefully so the piece sits level and the magnetic connection is secure.
Pro tip: The Aerial connects to the underside of your jewelry, not the top. This ensures a firm magnetic connection for a smooth, stable rotation.
Step 04 · Connect
Plug the supplied cord into both the Aerial and the GemLightbox. Then, attach your preferred stand to the center base of the Aerial.
Pro tip: If needed, place the photography table on top of the GemLightbox to cover the small magnet hole at the base.
Step 05 · Pair
Open the GemIQ app on your smartphone and ensure Bluetooth is enabled. Tap 'Connect' to automatically pair the Aerial turntable.
Pro tip: If the app doesn't detect the Aerial, make sure the cord is fully plugged in at both ends, then force-close the app and try connecting again.
Tap the capture button in the app to begin your 360-degree photo or video sequence. The app will automatically control the Aerial's rotation and capture the images.
